Wonderful World Full English Summary from Episode 1 to 6
This drama has a total of 14 episodes and falls under the genre of revenge tragedy. It revolves around a woman who takes matters into her own hands after her son dies unfairly. She tries to seek justice but feels like the world isn’t helping her, so she decides to take revenge. Along the way, she meets another character who is also fighting a similar battle, and they join forces to overcome obstacles together.
Episode 1: Eun Su-Hyun’s Son Dies in an Accident
In this episode, we witness the happy life of Eun Su-Hyun with her family, as well as her successful work life. Eun Su-Hyun is married and has a son named Kang Geon-woo, also known as Geon-woo for short. We see how loved and cared for the son is by both parents.
However, as the scene transitions, Kang Geon-woo goes missing, and during the search, they notice the gate open and rush out to see their little son hit by a car. The child is rushed to the hospital, but it becomes impossible to revive him. The whole family, especially Eun Su-Hyun, goes through a lot of heartache, grieving the loss of their beloved son and reminiscing about the memories they shared. This tragic event leaves the parents shattered.
A court case is held concerning the person responsible for their son’s death, but justice isn’t served. She then confronts the man who killed her son, asking for an apology, but he refuses and treats her horribly. In a fit of rage, she hits him with her car, resulting in his death.

Episode 2: Eun Su-Hyun Kills Son’s Murderer and Goes to Jail
Another court hearing takes place, and this time it’s for Eun Su-Hyun, charged with murder for killing the man who hit her son, leading to her imprisonment. During her time in jail, all she can think about is her son, which plunges her into deep depression. Eun Su-Hyun’s husband, Kang Soo Ho, does everything in his power to secure her release. Meanwhile, Eun Su-Hyun finds solace in a fellow inmate named Jang Hyung Ja. They form a strong bond during their time together. The scene transitions to three years later, introducing another character named Kwon Seon-yul, who is employed by a powerful team to clandestinely deliver a notebook to a school.
Episode 3: Eun Su-Hyun releases from the Prison
When Eun Su-Hyun is finally released from prison, she heads straight to her son’s grave in the rain. Kwon Seon-yul, witnessing her distress, shelters her with an umbrella, marking their first encounter. Eun Su-Hyun meets her mother and cries in her arms. The next day, she returns to the place where she teaches students.
There, Eun Su-Hyun meets Han Yu-ri and receives a gift from her. Upon returning home, she enters her son’s room, leaving her heart broken once again. Kwon Seon-yul gets into a fight but manages to escape, narrowly avoiding capture in another mission. Later, Eun Su-Hyun encounters her husband upon returning home. Despite her attempts to push him away, he refuses to allow it. Towards the end of the episode, a mysterious man is seen in a red room surrounded by photographs of Eun Su-Hyun, her husband, her mother-in-law, her friend Han Yu-ri, and others connected to her. Finally, Eun Su-Hyun and her husband make an appearance for an interview.

Episode 4: Eun Su-Hyun learns about her Husband’s Affair
Eun Su-Hyun, her husband, her mother, and Han Yu-ri gather out late in the evening for a meal. Eun Su-Hyun and Kwon Seon-yul meet again and console him about life and the unjust nature of the world. Later that evening, Eun Su-Hyun sits with her husband, showing him a picture of his affair.
The scene then transitions to Eun Su-Hyun talking with Han Yu-ri, stating that her husband was seeing another woman, which stresses Han Yu-ri. Eun Su-Hyun then receives a call from her mom, who has received a package with no name written on it. She opens it, leaving her speechless. Eun Su-Hyun rushes back home and finds her mom missing, starting to search for her. She eventually finds her mom, and they both cry in each other’s arms.
Episode 5: Eun Su-Hyun Confronts the Woman
Eun Su-Hyun goes to her husband’s office and sees him entering another woman’s office, which raises suspicion, especially after witnessing the photo of him cheating. She goes to that woman’s place whom she saw at the office and confronts her, to which she apologizes for her affair with her husband.
Getting back home results in a strain on the relationship with her husband. Eun Su-Hyun goes through a breakdown, to which Han Yu-ri comforts her. Kwon Seon-yul goes to a men’s bath in search of someone, finds him when that guy gets into trouble with a group of men, and helps him escape. In doing so, the guy gets hurt during the escape, and Kwon Seon-yul takes him to the hospital. On the other hand, we see Eun Su-Hyun gathering up the courage to enter a hospital room with a man inside, and as she enters and sees the lady, the door opens and Kwon Seon-yul walks in, leaving both confused.

Episode 6: Eun Su-Hyun Goes Through Severe Mental Stress
The start of this episode stirs up a lot of tension as the lady in bed’s heart rate spikes, prompting Kwon Seon-yul to rush to her aid. Eun Su-Hyun experiences a trauma attack. As they meet on the balcony of the hospital, Kwon Seon-yul does not admit who the woman is to him. Fortunately, the lady is out of immediate danger.
However, Kwon Seon-yul experiences significant mental stress, leading to overwork. Kang Soo Ho apologizes to his mother-in-law for his actions. Later, we see Eun Su-Hyun researching accidents, and then we witness a scene where a group of gangsters arrives at the hospital in search of a guy whom Kwon Seon-yul escapes from. Kwon Seon-yul’s friend informs him immediately, prompting him to rush to the hospital, causing a huge scene. Eun Su-Hyun confronts Kwon Seon-yul about his actions during the hospital incident. At the end of the episode, he embarks on another mission to keep an eye on Eun Su-Hyun’s husband.
Episode 7: Seon-yul gives Min-Hyuk a Diary
In this episode, Kwon Seon-yul encounters Kwon Min-Hyuk, the man he helped escape from gangsters. Seon-yul gives Min-Hyuk a diary containing a letter of apology, which infuriates him. Meanwhile, Seon-yul keeps a watchful eye on Eun Su-Hyun’s husband, who meets another man revealing Seon-yul’s identity. Tensions rise between Congressman Kim Joon and Kang Soo-Ho, Eun Su-Hyun’s husband, as it’s revealed that Seon-yul works for Kim Joon, surveilling Kang Soo-Ho. Despite an offer for further education from Kim Joon, Seon-yul declines, not wanting to be a burden.
Seon-yul and Eun Soo-Hyun meet at his workplace, hinting at a connection between Kang Soo-Ho and Han Yu-Ri. A family dinner includes Eun Soo-Hyun’s mother and her husband, where Eun Soo-Hyun reflects on her husband’s past cheating scandal. She later visits the police station regarding a person named Kim Eunmin’s accident. Flashbacks reveal Seon-yul’s consistent presence during Eun Soo-Hyun’s court case and imprisonment, hinting at a planned rather than coincidental relationship. As tensions escalate, both Seon-yul and Eun Soo-Hyun seem to harbor secrets and desires for revenge, leading to a suspense-filled climax.
Episode 8: Eun Soo-Hyun Finds a Dashcam Recording Implicating her Husband and Han Yu-Ri
The episode begins with Kwon Seon-Yul and Eun Soo-Hyun sitting and enjoying a cup of coffee while reminiscing. Interspersed with their conversation, we witness scenes of Eun Su-Hyun and her mother, as well as Kang Soo-Ho and his mother attending therapy sessions. Meanwhile, Kwon Seon-Yul channels his emotions into boxing, grappling with Eun Su-Hyun’s remarks about losing her son. It becomes evident that Kwon Seon-Yul is orchestrating a plan to unsettle Eun Soo-Hyun by sending her a photo.

Amidst a sudden road incident, she assists a student and learns of a mother’s deception to protect her son from a cheating scandal.
