Who is Vijay Varma?
Vijay Varma is an Indian actor known for his work in movies such as Rangrezz, Pink, Gullyboy, Baaghi 3 and Bumfaad. Most recently he appeared as ‘Hamza‘ in Netflix original movie Darlings, alongside Alia Bhatt. In Darlings he played the character of a whimsical husband who often gets drunk and beat his wife. Who later gets a taste of his own medicine.
Lately, Varma also appeared in web series titled ‘Mirzapur’, ‘A Suitable Boy’, ‘Ok Computer’, and ‘She’ where he awed the audience with his splendid performance.

Vijay Varma was born on 29 March 1986 in a Marwari family in Hyderabad, Telangana. He did his early education from some school in Hyderabad, and later went to Pune to pursue acting course from Film and Television Institute of India (FTII). Vijay Varma comes from a Marwadi family who have roots in Kishangarh, Jaipur, later settled in Hyderabad. He is the second one out of 3 siblings. His mother’s name is Kanta Varma and father’s name is not known to us. Vijay shares a great bond with his mother and often posts her pictures on Instagram at various occasions.

Debut and Career
Before getting formal acting training from FTII, Vijay Varma used to do plays in Hyderabad. After finishing his higher education, he moved to Mumbai to become an actor against his family wishes.
After a little struggle in Mumbai, Vijay made his debut from a short film called ‘Shor‘, which was presented on the MIAAC festival at NewYork. The film won the best short film award.
In 2012, Varma made his debut in Bollywood Hindi movie titled ‘Chittagong’, where he played the role of Jhunku. Next year he appeared in Rangrezz as ‘Pakkhya’. After acting in Rangrezz, Vijay had his first fan encounter who appreciated his character in the film.
