Who is Shriya Pilgaonkar?
Shriya Pilgaonkar is an Indian actress, director and producer popularly known for playing Suhani Gujral in Voot Select series ‘The Gone Game‘. She is also famous for playing Kashif Quaze in Amazon Prime series ‘Guilty Minds‘, and Radha Bhargava in Sonali Bendre starrer web series ‘The Broken News‘, streamed on Zee5 app.
Shriya has also been a part of several big and small budget films. However, the most famous of all is Shahrukh Khan’s ‘Fan‘, which released in 2016.
Apart from Fan, Shriya has also been a part of movies such as House Arrest, Bhangra Pa Le, Romeo, Kaadan, Haathi Mere Saathi. Currently, she is shooting for ‘Ishq e Naadaan‘, ‘Abhi Toh Party Shuru Hui Hai‘, and her latest web series ‘Taaza Khabar‘ is set to release on Disney Hotstar app.

Shriya Pilgaonkar was born to well to do family having strong acting background. Her father Sachin Pilgaonkar and mother Supriya Pilgaonkar both are veterans in the Marathi and Hindi cinema. Sachin is best known for his film ‘Nadiya Ke Paar‘, released in 1982 under Rajshri Productions, and Supriya is known for serial ‘Tu Tu Mein Mein‘, telecasted on DD Metro (1994-95) and StarPlus (1996-2000). Interestingly, the sitcom was directed by none other than Sachin Pilgaonkar who is a director as well as producer now.

Debut and Career
Shriya Pilgaonkar started her career in 2012 from a theatre play called ‘Freedom Of Love’. The duration of the play was only for 10 minutes where she acted, sang and danced. Later in 2013, she made her debut on the big screen from Marathi movie titled ‘Ekulti Ek‘. The movie was written, directed and produced by her father Sachin Pilgaonkar.
Although, Shriya didn’t want to take a favour from her father, but her father told her that he is not a fool to invest money in her without any reason. He said ‘I see potential in you therefore I am betting money on you’. After the release of the film, she was appreciated by the critics and won several awards for the Best Actress in a debut role.
Following year, she appeared in other non-commercial Hindi and Marathi films. Infact, she also got chance to work in a french film called ‘Un Plus Une‘. The film was directed by Oscar Winning Director Claude Lelouch. In this film, Shriya played the role of Ayanna, an actor and dancer from India.

In 2016, she made her Bollywood debut from Hindi movie ‘Fan’. The movie was produced by Aditya Chopra under the banner of Yash Raj Films. Since it was her first Bollywood movie, her screen time was less. Yet people took a note of her performance and appreciated her talent.
In 2018, Shriya got a big break in her career from Amazon Prime series ‘Mirzapur‘. In this series, she played the character of Sweety Gupta.
