Who is Shilpa Shukla?
Shilpa Shukla is an Indian actress best known for playing ‘Bindiya Naik’ in Chak De! India and ‘Sarika’ in B.A Pass. In both the movies she played her characters exceptionally well and received the Filmfare Critics Award for the Best Actress. Shilpa has also appeared in web series such as Criminal Justice, Hostages and Mentalhood. She has also acted in several Hindi feature films and hosted a crime based tv show called ‘Savdhaan India‘.

Shilpa Shukla was born on 22nd February 1982 in Hajipur, Bihar. She did her schooling from Delhi Public School, R.K Puram and college from Miranda House, Delhi. After completing her degree, she joined the Asmita Theatre Group in Delhi and start doing plays.

Shilpa Shukla dated assistant director Mohit Tripathi, whom she met at Asmita Theatre Group in Delhi. Later they tied the knot but the marriage did not work and the couple got divorced.

Debut and Career
Shilpa Shukla started her career from theatre. In the early days of her career she participated in several stage plays, which made her a better actor. In 2003, she made her debut from Punjabi movie Khamosh Paani, which depicts the story of a widowed mother and her young son living in a Punjabi Village.
