Rishav Basu is an Indian actor born on 15 September 1990 in Kolkata, West Bengal. He has worked predominately in Bengali cinema, some of his work include Kuasha Jakhon (2018), Turu Love (2021), BhotBhoti (2022), Srikanto (2022) and Aprajito (2022). Most recently he has appeared in HoiChoi Bengali web series Mahabharat Murders (2022).
The makers of the Mahabharat Murders created him a replica of Jim Sarbh, having the same chiseled looks, curly hair and nose pin. Actually the makers of the show wanted their character to be like Jim Sarbh.

Rishav Basu started his career as a theatre actor in April 2007 and has been into theatre for more than 14 years. He got his first break in 2014 from Bengali tv series called Byomkesh, where he played the part of Nishanth. In 2018, he made a debut on the big screen as ‘Alex’ from movie Kuasha Jakhon.
In 2021, he appeared as ‘Aritra’ in a Bengali tv series titled ‘Turu Love‘. In the same year, he acted in movie Olpo Holeo Sotti.
