Who is Rajesh Tailang?
Rajesh Tailang is an Indian actor, writer, director, and poet, who was born in 1970 in Bikaner, Rajasthan. He did his initial education from Sadul Senior High Secondary School, Bikaner and completed his BSc in Mathematics from Dungar College, Rajasthan.
Tailang is an NSD pass out and critically acclaimed actor who gave notable appearances in Siddharth and Selection Day. His performance in Siddharth was appreciated by audience across the globe, and got nominated for the Canadian Screen Award (2014). Tailang also proved his mettle in digital space from OTT series Selection Day and Mirzapur.
At the age of 17, Rajesh discovered a writer and poet in himself, and starting posting poetry on the internet. Seeing great response from the readers, he got encouraged and decided to pursue it further with more energy and dedication. Tailang is a huge fan of Urdu poetry, and follows Gulzar and Ghalib. Infact, he got a pat on his back from Gulzar sahib for his poetic ability.
Apart from that, Rajesh Tailang has acted in several Hindi films. Some of his latest movies are: Pagglait, Aiyaary, Panga, Haseena Parkar, Mukkabaaz, Commando 3, and Khuda Haafiz Chapter 2 : Agni Pariksha.
Most recently, Rajesh filmed for couple of web series like ‘Dahan‘, which will premiere on Hotstar app. The main cast in Dahan are Tisca Chopra, Mukesh Tiwari, Rohan Joshi and Ankur Nayyar.
Another one is Rangbaaz Darr ki Rajneeti, streaming on Zee5 platform. Other actors who joined the main cast of Rangbaaz are Vineet Kumar Singh, Aakanksha Singh, Geetanjali Kulkarni, Vijay Maurya, Vijay Narayanan.

Rajesh Tailang is 6 feet tall and weighs around 65kgs. He has got grey hair, black eyes and pleasing personality. Although, he doesn’t have a typical actor type of look, however, he has got great screen presence which makes the character alive from his craft.
Speaking about his physical appearance, he is tall, dark and handsome. If we look at his body measurements his chest is 41 inches, waist is 32 inches and biceps are 14 inches.

Rajesh Tailang father’s name is Shri Krishna Tailang, who owns a printing press and his mother is a homemaker. His brother Sudhir Tailang was a famous Indian cartoonist, who died on 6th February 2016.
Affairs, Marriage and Children
Rajesh Tailang had several women in his life at different stages, which inspired him to write poetry. Tailang’s poem ‘Chand Pe Chai’ is inspired from one of these women. Which is about the couples who break up and still crave to meet, but they meet in their dreams.
Due to some of these heartbreaks, Rajesh has not been married, and of-course, he had dated women in the past but he never publicised their names.
As of August 2022, Rajesh is single, unmarried, and has not adopted any children.

Debut and Career
Rajesh Tailang made his debut from tv serial Shanti, telecasted in 1994 on Doordarshan. In 1998, he got his first break from Bollywood movie Hazaar Chaurasi Ki Maa, where he played the role of Somu’s father. He 1999, he acted in Ajay Devgan starrer Thakshak.
During his entire career, he appeared in number of movies.
