Episode 7
In this episode, we witness Hong Hae-in becoming deeply upset with her husband upon learning about the divorce. She is in such emotional turmoil that she nearly gets hit by a truck, but her husband saves her. In response, she tells him not to save her if such a situation were to occur again, and then walks away.
Hong Soo-Cheol confides in his wife about his suspicions after seeing his aunt and Baek Hyun-Woo talking in secret. Later, Baek Hyun-Woo and Hong Hae-In engage in a tense argument in Europe, where Baek stands up boldly to express his unbearable feelings that led to his decision to divorce her. His harsh words deeply hurt Hong Hae-In, as she never expected such cruelty from him.
Meanwhile, Hong Soo-Cheol strikes a deal with Yoon Eun-Sung. The family discusses the divorce, with Hong Hae-In asserting that she won’t let it go easily and instructing her family not to interfere. The divorce seems to be confirmed, at least within the family.
Baek Hyun-Woo meets Hong Hae-In’s mother, who rants about the situation, and then meets with the grandfather to discuss a case, while Yoon Eun-Sung spies through a camera on their conversation. The atmosphere in the workplace becomes awkward as Hong Hae-In and Baek Hyun-Woo, along with their respective teams, exchange sarcastic comments near the elevator.

Later, Hong Hae-In and Yoon Eun-Sung meet for dinner, but an offensive comment causes her to walk away. While she is out on the street with an umbrella, Baek Hyun-Woo arrives and offers her a coat. She behaves oddly, speaking softly and kindly as she talks about a cat, leaving Baek Hyun-Woo speechless and emotional, with tears filling his eyes in shock and fear.

This scene opens up with Baek Hyun-Woo and Hong Hae-In’s past dating life in an aquarium, where he kneels and asks for her hand in marriage. Back in the present, we see that Hong Hae-In’s condition has worsened significantly, as she forgets about the entire divorce paper scene. She narrates the same exact words from the past, and Baek Hyun-Woo, crying in so much pain, apologizes to her. Memories of the past flood back to her in bits, and she remembers, telling him they should part ways.
The next day, Hong Hae-In’s lawyer arrives, and they discuss the divorce, along with Baek Hyun-Woo and his lawyer. Baek Hyun-Woo states that he doesn’t care what they write and that he wouldn’t regret it because it won’t be the real reason anyway. Meanwhile, Hong Soo-Cheo encounters trouble with his new program, and Baek Hyun-Woo aids him once again. Baek Hyun-Woo meets with Hong Hae-’s aunt and faces her anger, followed by a fight between the chairman and his daughter, Hong Hae-In’s aunt.
Hong Soo-Cheol holds a successful and grand opening of his program but returns home to find a note from his wife, leading him to frantically search for her, crying in despair. He expresses concern that his son can’t sleep if he isn’t there to tuck him in. Later, we see his wife on a plane with their son, both crying. The scene then transitions to the chairman and his wife, where he is poisoned mid-conversation by his wife, leaving him almost unconscious.
The family rushes to the hospital, but they are not allowed to see the chairman under the rule of his wife. As a result of the turmoil and their loss of power, Hong Hae-In’s entire family seeks safety at Baek Hyun-Woo’s place, their belongings destroyed.
