Emma works for Discovery Resorts in London and returns home to her mother, Lana, who heads a medical research lab, to surprise her with the news of her marriage. Emma, in the beginning, was skeptical about letting her mother know because, after her father’s death, they had been together all her life, and she was not sure how her mother would react to her sudden news of marriage. But Lana is happy with her daughter’s decision because, for her, her daughter’s happiness is a priority. Emma even let her mother know that Discovery Resorts would be sponsoring and arranging her wedding in Phuket in exchange for promoting Discovery.

When Emma, Lana, and her best friend Janice land in Phuket, she is introduced to RJ, Emma’s fiance. On the other hand, Lana is taken by surprise to know that RJ is Will’s son, who once was her boyfriend and broke her heart. Lana felt awkward about how to approach Will and fell into the hotel pool, dragging him too. To break the ice between Lana and Will, she decided to take the high road and approach him in his room without the idea that Will was showering in his room, and she saw him naked, making the situation more awkward.

On the day of the wedding, Will notices Anna’s indifference towards him, and during the night of the reception party, Will makes it clear to Lana about the phone call that Katrina, that is, the woman on call, is his assistant. Will asked Katrina to come to Phuket with the ring he bought for Lana when they were twenty-two years old and asked her hand for marriage.
