Halit is in present-day Turkey, walking through the halls of the Pera Palace Hotel, completely confused. As he reaches the lobby, Ahmet sees him and is shocked. “This can’t be real. It’s really you!” Ahmet says, trying to understand how Halit got there.

Halit, still lost and confused, asks, “Ahmet… where am I?”

Ahmet, struggling to believe it, asks, “How do you even know who I am?”

Halit, ignoring the question, asks, “Where is Esra?”

“Esra, the journalist?” Ahmet asks, even more confused.

Halit, sounding desperate, replies, “This can’t be the end. I came here to find her. Take me to her now. Will you?”

Ahmet, still in shock, leads Halit to a hotel room. Once inside, Halit quickly asks, “Where is she?”

Ahmet, still puzzled, asks, “How did you get here? And how do you know…?”

Halit cuts him off, “Are you Esra’s detective friend?”

“Detective?” Ahmet repeats, confused.

“Yes,” Halit says, “You were with me at the port.”

Ahmet, unsure, asks, “What do you mean I was with you?”

Halit explains, “Mustafa Kemal Pasha, the day we sent him off.”

“Mustafa Kemal Pasha?” Ahmet repeats, trying to remember.

Halit continues, “I heard there was trouble at Pera Palace at midnight. I rushed here. Raşat’s men were here, and George was being taken away. Then they disappeared. Where did they go? Where did they reappear?”

Ahmet, confused, asks, “What does all of this mean?”

Halit says, “I swore I’d find him. When Sonia saw I wouldn’t give up, she told me everything.”

Ahmet, shocked, says, “No, that’s impossible. This has never happened.”

Halit, not giving up, asks Ahmet, “Have you ever been in love?”

Instead of answering, Ahmet he questions, “Which room was it?”

“Room 511,” Halit answers.
