After Mavin dies, Phupat steps in to run the family business. Phupat’s stubbornness and cruel treatment of the household staff make him even more alone. In the final episodes, things go badly for him. The staff, who have been mistreated for years, get back at him by recording his mistakes and threatening to damage the family’s reputation. The pressure from their threats, along with his guilt and fear, pushes Phupat to his breaking point.
