Lootere is Hotstar’s upcoming web series which features Vivek Gomber, Amruta Khanvilkar and Rajat Kapoor in the main lead. The series is helmed by Hansal Mehta, directed by Jai Mehta and produced by Shaailesh R Singh. The web series is expected to go live tentatively in January 2023, however, exact date of the release is not announced yet.
Lootere’s story is set off the coast of Somalia where passengers of the ship are taken hostage by pirates. Therefore, someone from the passengers must step up to save co-passengers from the unfortunate event. The story and characters are fictional but inspired by the real events.
