Who is Gulshan Devaiah?
Gulshan Devaiah is an Indian actor born on 28 May 1978 in Bangalore, Karnataka. He did his early education from Cluny Convent and St. Joseph Indian High School. Later, he went for further studies and finished graduation from National Institute of Fashion Technology. Prior to becoming an actor, he used to teach fashion at Wigan and Leigh College, Bangalore.
After spending a long time in theatre at Bangalore, he moved to Mumbai with a lot of aspirations and dreams in mind.
In 2010, He got his first break from Anurag Kashyap’s directional movie ‘The Girl In the Yellow Boots‘, where he played ‘Chittiappa Siddanna Gowda’ alongside Kalki Koechlin and Naseeruddin Shah.
Gulshan Devaiah gave notable appearances in Shaitan, Hunterrr and Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota. In Shaitan he played the character of ‘Karan Chaudhary’ (KC), which was appreciated by critics as well as audiences. He also got nominated for the Filmfare award along with Stardust and Screen Awards.
Lately, Devaiah was seen in web series such as Smoke (2018) and Afsos (2020). His upcoming web series releasing super soon are Shiksha Mandal, Duranga, Dahaad and Guns and Gulaabs.

Body Measurements and Physical Appearance
Gulshan Devaiah is 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighs around 61 kgs. He has got straight hair and black eyes. If we got through his body measurements his chest is 39 inches, waist is 32 inches and biceps are 13 inches. Gulshan has a great physique and his fitness mantra is ‘Eat Less, Live Longer, Look Younger’.
Family and Relatives
Gulshan Devaiah was born to a middle class family in Bangalore. His father Sri Devaiah and mother Pushpalatha Devaiah were employees at Bharat Electronics Ltd. Since he is the only child in his family, he has more responsibilities towards his loved ones. Speaking of his mother, who has been through 30 years of pain and had multiple surgeries could barely stand up. In a recent post, Devaiah shared his amount of pain and affection towards his mother on the occasion of Mother’s Day.

Affairs and Marriage
Gulshan has had an affair with a Greek actress Kallirroi Tziafeta, whom he married in 2012. Unfortunately, the marriage didn’t work and they divorced in 2012. As of now, Gulshan Devaiah is single, unmarried and has no children.
Debut and Career
Gulshan Devaiah has been doing theatre since childhood. Back in 1987, he participated in a Kannada play titled ‘Sangatha’, for which he won State level award as the Best Child Artist. Even years later, Devaiah’s love for theatre continued and he participated in English Theatre at Bangalore. Carrying years of theatre experience and big dreams, he moved to Mumbai.
In 2010, Gulshan made his debut from the Bollywood movie ‘The Girl in Yellow Boots‘, paired alongside Kalki Koechlin. Thereafter, he appeared in numerous movies in different roles. However, his breakthrough in career came from Radhika Apte starrer hindi movie Hunterrr released in 2015, where he played the role of ‘Mandar Ponkshe’, a sex addict.
In 2018, he played double roles as ‘karate Mani’ and ‘Jimmy’ in Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota, a positive and negative character ever played by him in a single film. His roles were well received by critics and he also won the Best Supporting Actor award for the film. Other actors who played the main lead in Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota are Abhimanyu Dassani and Radhika Madan.
In 2019, he acted in Vidhyut Jamwal starrer Commando 3, and following year he appeared in Ghost Stories.
Earlier in 2022, he played advocate Guru Narayan in Badhaai Do, the film was based on LGBTQ and their acceptable in our society. The movie had Rajkumar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar in the lead roles while Gulshan Devaiah played a cameo. Badhaai Do was directed by Harshavardhan Kulkarni, who is also a dear friend of Gulshan, therefore he agreed to do this film despite having a short screen time and requested his role to be uncredited.
During his career, he appeared in several other movies where his role went unnoticed.
