What Clues Are Found At The Murder Scene That Link It To Past Crimes?
The first murder victim is found when a night security guard, after fixing a broken light, sits down to eat. Suddenly, a dark figure shows up and kills him.
The next morning, detectives Wu Ming-han and Chubby come to the scene. They find the body set up in a strange way: covered in feathers and fish scales and wearing an antler headband. This odd setup catches their eye and hints at the show’s mix of crime and dark humour.
At the police station, Chief Chang Yung-kang sees the unusual crime scene. He remembers similar murders from 20 years ago called the “Idiom Murders,” where the killer, Shui-yuan, set up victims to represent Chinese sayings. Chief Chang thinks this new murder might be done by someone copying the old killer.

The scene takes us back to 2001, where the original killer, Shui-yan, is committing a terrible crime. He captures a student and, inspired by the saying “a pound of flesh,” cuts a piece of flesh from the student’s thigh, planning to force him to eat it. As this awful act happens, the police, led by Chief Chang and the future commissioner, break into Shui-yan’s house to arrest him. Unfortunately, they arrive too late to save the student, who has already died from his injuries.
When Shui-yan is arrested, he remains arrogant and shows no remorse. This flashback shows just how cruel and twisted Shui-yan is while also setting up the challenges the GG Precinct team will face with a copycat killer.
In the present, Shui-yan, now in prison, watches the news with a smug look as the media reports on the second copycat victim, PE teacher Liao Shan-tai.
Who Is Revealed To Be The Attacker In The Chase Scene?
A chilling chase and confrontation unfold in GG Precinct when Detective Wu Ming-han encounters a hooded attacker, later revealed to be Yumi’s manager, Lin Pai-sheng.
While investigating Yumi’s apartment for clues, Detective Ming-han hears a faint noise and investigates. He is suddenly ambushed by the hooded figure wielding a blunt object but narrowly avoids the blow. Quickly regaining his composure, Ming-han chases the attacker, who escapes to a car and speeds away. Ming-han follows on foot, and despite being struck by the car, he persists. The attacker hits him again, leaving Ming-han injured but determined to continue.
In the end, Ming-han catches up with the car, pulls out the attacker, and uncovers Lin Pai-sheng.
What Does Shui-yan Reveal To The Police About How He Entered His Victims’ Homes?
A flashback to 2001 reveals key details about Shui-yan, the original killer, and helps explain his motives.
The scene shows Shui-yan as a well-liked cram school teacher at Cheng Tao Tutorials. Despite his popularity, he receives many complaints about being too strict. The school director advises him to smile more and be friendlier, suggesting his good looks could be more effective if he were nicer.
In his classroom, Shui-yan finds some students have written insults on his desk. He tries to be more relaxed and funny, but the students continue to bully him. To lighten the mood, Shui-yan jokingly says he will kill them if they don’t pay attention, which only makes one student laugh.
In the present, Shui-yan, now in prison, claims Huang Hsien was never his student. He reveals to the police that he used to enter his victims’ homes pretending to be a delivery person. This leads to a disagreement between Wu Ming-han and Lin Tzu-ching. Ming-han thinks Hsien is involved, while Tzu-ching suspects Cheng-ta is the killer because he could easily pretend to be a delivery person.
Chief Chang tries to resolve the argument, advising Tzu-ching to focus on Shui-yan. Feeling hurt, Tzu-ching thinks Chang doubts her skills. Despite this, Chang tells Tzu-ching to follow Cheng-ta and Ming-han to follow Hsien.
Ming-han goes undercover as a student to join Hsien’s class. He finds photos of Hsien in Shui-yan’s class and sends them to Tzu-ching, feeling justified. Meanwhile, Tzu-ching, feeling down, is comforted by Shui-yan, who tries to manipulate her by acknowledging her loneliness.
What Happens When Jen-Shan Faces Shui-Yan In The Interrogation Room?
In a tense room, Hsien faces his old teacher, Shui-yan. The mood is heavy with unresolved feelings. Shui-yan begins by asking Hsien to raise his head and look at him, then tells him to sit down and speak. Shui-yan starts by reminding him that a gentleman should be open and honest and shouldn’t be afraid. He then questions Hsien, who confesses that he did something wrong to his students. Hsien says, “Sir, I am sorry. I couldn’t control myself. I knew it was wrong. I regret it.”
As the conversation continues, Hsien, who has a very good memory, feels uneasy as Shui-yan starts asking him more about what he’s been doing lately. Shui-yan’s disappointment and anger are clear as he accuses Hsien of going against the lessons he once taught him. Things get worse when Shui-yan, unable to hold back his anger, suddenly hits Hsien. This unexpected act shocks everyone there and shows how deeply Shui-yan feels betrayed. Although Hsien isn’t physically hurt, he is left emotionally shaken.
What Happens When Shui-Yan Meets Hsiao-Yin At The Old Resort?

In the present day, Shui-yan and Hsiao-yin, who is now revealed as the copycat killer, go to an old resort they visited as kids. This place is important because it connects to their shared history and the unresolved problems driving the current conflict.
When Shui-yan arrives at the resort, he finds Hsiao-yin has tied Chief Chang up in an empty pool. The empty pool symbolises the emptiness and past trauma they both feel. Shui-yan tries to reason with Hsiao-yin, reminding her of the lessons he once taught her. Despite this, Hsiao-yin’s anger and need for revenge are clear. She says her murders were because of the bullying she and her brother suffered and blames Shui-yan for not protecting them.
The situation gets worse as Shui-yan tries to save Chang and stop Hsiao-yin, leading to a physical fight. This fight shows their emotional struggles and unresolved issues. Shui-yan eventually overpowers Hsiao-yin, but the experience takes a heavy toll on both of them.
Does This Series Of GG Precinct Have A Happy Ending?
