Who is Gauhar Khan?
Gauhar Khan is an Indian actress who declared the winner of ‘Big Boss 7‘ in 2013 and became the runner up of dance reality show ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 3‘ in 2009. She is best known for her roles in web series such as Tandav, Bestseller and The Salt City. In political thriller ‘Tandav’ she played the role of ‘Maithili Sharan’, a PA and an advisor to the CM ‘Dimple Kapadia’.
In Bestseller she played the prominent role of ‘Mayanka Kapoor’, the wife of a novelist ‘Tahir Wazir’ played by actor Arjan Bajwa. In Sony Liv’s latest released family drama series ‘The Salt City’, Gauhar Khan appeared as Gunjan Bajpai, the daughter in law of the Bajpai family, headed by Piyush Mishra while other members are Manish Anand, Jitin Gulati, Divyenndu Sharma, Eisha Chopra, Navni Parihar, Pranay Singh Pachauri, Monica Chaudhary and Nivedita Bhattacharya.
Most recently, Gauhar has been signed for MX Player’s upcoming web series Shikshamandal, in this series she will play the lead role of a cop who investigates the conspiracy and suspicious murders, while other actors in the parallel lead roles are Gulshan Devaiah and Pavan Raj Malhotra.

Debut and Career
Gauhar Khan started her career as a model. At the age of 18, she participated in Femina Miss India contest (2002) and came fourth. Later she represented India at Miss International Contest but couldn’t win the title.
Thereafter, she appeared in couple of music videos with one of them ‘Hawa Mein Udati Jaaye‘ by Bombay Vikings has been hugely popular. Gauhar also anchored the shows such as Page 3 on Zoom and B4U music.

In 2022, Gauhar was casted in Amazon Prime’s suspense thriller series ‘Bestseller‘, where she played the role of ‘Mayanka Kapoor’, a novelist’s wife who was chased by an unnamed foe. The other important characters in the series are Mithun Chakraborty and Shruti Haasan.
