Who is Abhimanyu Dassani?
Abhimanyu Dassani was born in Mumbai on 21 February 1990. He did his intial schooling from Jamnabai Narsee School and received a degree in finance from Mithibai College, Mumbai. Later he moved to the US to learn film making and acting. Upon reaching US, he joined Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute to enhance his acting skills.

Debut and Career
After completing his film making course from New York Film Academy in the US, he returned to India and assisted Rohan Sippy in Dum Maro Dum and Nautanki Saala. After working as an AD he went to the US to learn acting and theatre.
Upon returning to India, he enrolled in Anupam Kher’s Acting academy to learn camera acting.
Before becoming an actor he tried his hands on several businesses. However, nothing interested him as much as acting.
In 2018, he made his debut from bollywood movie Mard Ko Dard Nhi Hota, where he played the role of Surya, a boy who never felt any pain. He was casted alongside parallel lead Radhika Madaan. The movie had a mix of martial art and comedy, the film was premiered in Toronto International Festival, where it won the People Choice Awards. The film was written and directed by Vasan Bala and produced by Ronnie Screwala under the banner of RSVP movies.
If sources are to be believed, he took 6 months extensive martial art training to shoot the movie sequences without any body doubles. During the shoot he broke his finger and dislocated his shoulder. Tells a lot about his commitment and passion towards his work.
In 2021, He played the lead role alongside Sanya Malhotra in Meenakshi Sundareshwar, produced by Dharma Productions. The movie was streamed on Netflix platform.
Abhimanyu is also signed in a lead role opposite actress Mrinal Thakur in movie Aankh Micholi. The movie is being filmed and expected to release somewhere at the end of 2022.
Apart from that, he recently completed shooting for movie Nikamma, where he will be seen sharing screen with girlfriend Shirley Setia and stellar actress Shilpa Shetty.
