Who is Aakanksha Singh?
Aakanksha Singh is an Indian actress born and raised in Jaipur, Rajasthan. Aakanksha has completed her BPT education with 70% marks in Physiotherapy. She started her career as a theatre artist which she inherited from her mother, since her mother is a theatre artist too. She has worked predominantly in the Hindi and Telugu industry. In the beginning of her career, she appeared in a tv serial titled ‘Na Bole Tum Na Meine Kuch Kaha‘ telecasted in 2012 on Colors Tv. Which was her first ever appearance on a commercial scale. She is also known for her Telugu film ‘Malli Ravva‘, for which she got nominated for the SIIMA award.
In 2017, Aakanksha Singh appeared in Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt starrer movie ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania‘. As a theatre artist, she enjoys OTT platform which is more open and give lots of space to an actor. Therefore, she made her debut to web in 2021 from series titled ‘Parampara‘, streamed on Disney plus Hotstar.
Recently, Aakanksha was seen as Ajay Devgan’s wife in Hindi movie Runway 34, while her latest project is Zee5’s original web series ‘Rangbaaz Darr Ki Rajneeti‘, where she is playing parallel lead alongside Vineet Kumar Singh.

She also has an elder sister ‘Chayanika Singh’, who is just like her mother figure, and a younger brother whom she calls ‘Babu’. All the siblings share great bond with each other.

Debut and Career
Aakanksha Singh made her debut in 2012 from Hindi tv serial titled ‘Na Bole Tum Na Meine Kuch Kaha‘, where she played ‘Megha Vyas’, the character of a widow woman who had responsibility of two children. Couple of years later, she appeared in Gulmohar Grand, a tv series based on hotel industry.
In 2017, she made her debut in Telugu movie ‘Malli Rava‘, for which she got nominated for SIIMA award.
In 2019, she debuted in Sandalwood from Kannada movie ‘Pailwaan‘. Later in 2022, she entered in Tollywood from Tamil movie ‘Clap‘.
While these films gave her a platform but Aakansha did not get desired recognition. Thus, she geared towards Bollywood and debuted in 2017 from Hindi feature film ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania‘, although she was not in a lead role but it opened the doors for better opportunities.
Years later, she got breakthrough in a parallel lead role from Ajay Devgan starrer film ‘Runway 34’, released in 2022.
Prior to this, she explored the OTT platform and acted in web series like ‘Parampara’ (Telugu), ‘Escaype Live’ (Hindi) and most recently she appeared in Zee5’s original series ‘Rangbaaz Darr Ki Rajneeti’.
