Ullu has revealed the trailer of its latest crime drama series ‘Red Light’ releasing on 7th May 2024 while the Part 2 of Red Light is scheduled to release on 14th May 2024. The series features an ensemble cast of beautiful talent such as Aayat Khan in the role of Prabha, Rani Pari Shaikh as Isha, Alina Sen as Sethani and Jagjeet Chachal as Rahul along with the supporting actors, whose names have not been revealed by the OTT yet. The web series is directed by Fahad Kashmiri and produced by Ullu Digital Ltd in collaboration with Dwarkamai Productions.
Plot Summary
The plot of the Red Light Part 1 web series revolves around a beautiful newly married girl “Prabha,” who boards a bus to Rajkot to meet her husband, but abducted by goons midway and brought to a brothel without her consent. When she comes to her senses she finds herself at an odd place, she tries to escape but to no avail. Therefore, she hopes that one day her husband with come and evacuate her from the filthy place. She also hope that her husband will accept her since she is kept in brothel against her wish. Meanwhile, she is pressurised by the brothel owner to cooperate. When she goes against her wish, she is beaten and tortured. On the other hand her husband Rahul comes to pick her at the bus stand, upon not finding her he files Prabha’s missing complaint with the police station.
In second part of Red Light series we will get to know whether Rahul will be able to evacuate his wife Prabha from the brothel or he will suffer at the hands of Sethani. Watch all the episodes of Red Light Part 2 on May 14 to know the full story.
What To Expect From The Series?
To be honest, after looking at the trailer I couldn’t find anything interesting that can keep the audience glued. Even the viewers in the Youtube’s comment section seem disinterested and criticised it for scripting like “Crime Patrol,” expecting to bring back what Ullu is all about. Therefore, don’t expect ‘Red Light’ to be like Charmsukh or Palang Tod franchise. It will be a typical crime series with some bold scenes here and there. One thing worth mentioning is its music and songs which will make your viewing experience enjoyable.
