Taali Web Series Story
In Taali web series Sushmita Sen is essaying the character of a transgender named ‘Shreegauri Sawant’ who fights for the rights of transgender in the Indian society. The younger version of Sushmita is played by Krutika Deo who transitioned from ‘Ganesh‘ to ‘Gauri‘ as she loved being a woman and wanted to embrace motherhood since childhood.
On the contrary, her father Nandu Madhav, who is a police inspector feels insulted and ashamed in front of the society due to her feminine gestures. Therefore, Ganesh’s sister Hemangi Kavi, who is married, suggested that ‘Ganesh’ should not stay with her father.
After the death of her mother ‘Aishwarya Narkar’, she maintained distance from her father for over 16 years. Now the young Ganesh is fully grown up and transitioned to ‘Gauri’.
Afterwards, she headed to the court to fight for the rights of transgender. The challenges faced during her fight for equality is Taali all about.
